Dr. Tara McCormick, OTD, OTR/L is the founder of OT x 3. She has been a clinician for 28 years and has owned and operated 2 other successful OT/SLP businesses for the past 16 years. She is certified in Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing/Treatment, a Certified Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Therapist, Listening Therapy certified and Handwriting Without Tears certified. She has extensive training in picky and fussy eating habits as well as Floor Time, Aquatics therapy, CranioSacral and hippo therapy.
My son has been a client of Tara's since he was 3 yrs. old. He is now 5 yrs. old and continues to grow and develop under her care. She has helped him in developing sensory, fine, gross and oral motor skills. These skills have helped my son be more independent when playing, dressing, eating, and interacting in an educational setting. Tara has also worked on the development of social and emotional skills that has helped my sons behavior patterns and interactions with other adults and kids in social situations. She shares an abundance of knowledge that has helped us incorporate the techniques she uses during her treatment session at home and in our routine. We have witnessed a lot of growth over the years and we owe a portion of that to Miss Tara.
My 4 year old son LOVES "playtime" with Miss Tara. I appreciate the gentle consideration and patience she has with him, and am impressed with the variety of O.T. activities he gets to engage in. I am also appreciative of the games/activity suggestions she has for us to do at home as a family. I can absolutely see an increase in my son's capabilities and confidence, and his school is noticing an improvement as well. Thank You Dr. McCormick !!!
Tara has been instrumental in moving my daughter forward with her independence. She has the necessary patience, skills, and creative customized tools to help and motivate my daughter.
